Ms. Donna, Assistant,
Donna Carey, the quintessential loving mother of seven children and four grandchildren, holds Montessori Assistant Certification for the primary classroom (3-6) through The Center for Guided Montessori Studies. Her youngest daughter, Sadie, completed a three-year cycle in our Montessori classroom. Sadie, (now 11) graduated to kindergarten at Richlands Primary and thankfully, Ms. Donna stayed on to further nurture and grow with our classroom. Cameron and Hailey, her grandchildren, have come through our program as well. Ms Donna has been with our program since its inception and we are grateful to have her with us!
Lead Teacher & Administrator

She holds Montessori Certification for the primary classroom (3-6) through Montessori Educational Programs International (MEPI), Lead Teacher Certifications through the state of NC and a degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Atlanta. She has studied Yoga for over 20 years and was certified as teacher by Kaivalyadhama Yoga & Scientific Research Center in Lonavla, India. Also a certified Kindermusik® teacher, Ms Stewart loves to share art, music, dance, and yoga with the children, and together they build the garden.
Our classroom is a traditional Montessori classroom full of didactic materials for your child to work with hands on. By manipulating, building, sorting, transferring, connecting, constructing, and even deconstructing, children lay the foundations
of math, language, science, geography, history, music, and art.
CARE OF SELF
We help your children learn about the world around them and their place in it. They learn that being a part of a community means being responsible and respectful to themselves, their friends, and their environment. We take the time to allow them to be responsible for dressing themselves, cleaning up after themselves, and keeping their lessons tidy for the whole of our community.
WE CARE ABOUT PARENTS TOO!
The responsibility of growing a young life is huge. It is the BIGGEST thing we'll do. We realize it can be overwhelming and isolating at times. We will do whatever it takes to provide a nurturing environment and a supportive community for you too!
All children must be treated with respect. All children have a right to a safe, healthful, loving, caring environment. All children have the right to opportunities for developmental activities according to their age, special needs, talents, and interests.
