cheese sticks, yogurt, dried fruits and nuts. Ask in the classroom for a complete list.
We drink water only.
Parents or guardians will provide the following:
A completed enrollment packet
A snapshot of your child for their basket
A pair of indoor shoes
A complete change of clothing appropriate for the season, please label all belongings
The opportunity to join your child for a field trip
Clothing
We allow the children to be independent as much as possible. Please make sure that all clothing is child capable. Until you are willing to teach & allow them to tie...no laces. Jeans are cute but not always comfortable while working on the floor. Onesies are not easily removed for your potty training toddlers. Fancy flip flop don't climb the rock wall safely. And if you don't want it stained, don't where it to school. We paint and play with clay, mud and sand daily!
Parents or guardians agree to the following:
Sick children should be kept home. Please call and let us know.
When a call is received to pick-up a child that is ill or injured,
that will be done as quickly as possible.
Two week's notice is required if you decide to withdraw your child.
To educate yourself on the Montessori Method of education by use
of our lending library or research online.
Parents are invited and encouraged to join us at the MEPI Conference
in Myrtle Beach at the end of February
Mercy's Garden agrees to the following:
You will be told in advance, when possible, if a substitute will be taking care of your child due to illness or emergency.
An open door policy. Parents are always welcome to visit the classroom as a guest or for silent observation. We are free most afternoons if you would like to schedule a conference to go over your child's progress.
Cancellation of Agreement:
With the exception of a trial enrollment period,
we will give you a one week notice when asking you to discontinue enrollment.
Reasons for cancellation:
Non-payment of fees
Uncooperative parent or guardians
Failure of child to attend without notification
A sole and unrestricted decision after a two-week trial enrollment that it is not in the best interest of our program or your child to continue this enrollment
Two-week notice by parent or guardian of a withdraw
A serious illness that prevents the child from participating
